I come from an area where we don’t have reservations, our languages have largely been exterminated, and we are racially mixed. It makes me feel bad to say this but I almost hate interacting with Natives from other regions such as Canada and the Plains areas of the US. I don’t think they understand me and from my experience they certainly don’t know my tribe or region’s history.
